It's nerve wracking enough fighting a case, but having to fight it twice is another level of frustration. Some DAs refuse to lose and will throw additional charges that carry high sentences in attempt to scare you into taking a deal or risk serving a decades by taking it to trial. The Judicial system is a cruel beast and desperately needs to be reformed.
